Billy Crystal brought his 1992 film to musical life on stage, playing washed-up comedian Buddy Young Jr., who tries to find his way back to the spotlight without breaking his family apart. The film’s original writers – comedy legends Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel along with Crystal himself – created the musical’s book, with a brand-new Tony- and Grammy-nominated score by JRB and lyricist Amanda Green.
